CONTEXT/BACKGROUND

RSBL Club, founded in 1997, is one of the largest sports clubs in Montreal and surrounding area. a sports organization that caters to the needs of the growing sports community in the Montreal area. The organization started as a co-ed basketball league with only four teams. As it is continuing to grow, our winter Basketball program, average 66 teams with over six hundred members, our summer session average 44 teams and over four hundred members. One of Quebec's largest sports organizations, which operate on a yearly basis. Not only do we provide reputable basketball leagues and tournaments, for men and women, we also provide 2 other sports: Volleyball and Softball. The volleyball and softball programs are scheduled to debut in 2008.

RSBL is a place where you can experience your own personal pride, passion and fun at his or her own skill level, due to the variety of divisions we offer. It is a chance to get some exercise, while meeting new people in a safe, clean environment.

We are constantly looking to expand our services. In January 2008 we introduced DJRA (Dexter John Referring Association) to help improve the growing demand of basketball in the providence of Quebec.

Staying true to our social commitment, we will be introducing our 1st Annual RSBL Family Picnic in the month of July 2008.

In September 2008, we will begin to plan our 1st Networking Cocktail to give a chance to the participants to socialize, have fun, and potentially make new friends.

Mission

RSBL Club's mission is to promote sports and recreational activities as healthy leisure alternatives for our sports community, while also exposing them to a variety of different opportunities to develop their personal and social networking through physical fitness and social functions. The culture of respect for oneself as well as for others promoted within our organization will contribute to the sports community.
